Danny Newberry

Managing Partner

Danny is the founder and president of Vail Commercial Group.

Danny Newberry is the founder and president of Vail Commercial Group. Prior to starting VCG he built Value Investment Group into an integrated and successful commercial real estate investment firm. He has acquired more than 50 commercial properties totaling over $150MM in transactional volume since its inception in 2008. Danny has acquired assets in more than a dozen states, across various asset classes including retail, industrial, office, medical, pad site developments, and multi-family. Mr. Newberry has developed unique acquisition strategies, sound portfolio management practices, debt and equity relationships, high-level partnerships, and the in-house property management operations for VCG’s portfolio.

Yekta Pakdaman

Partner

Yekta is a partner with VCG who specializes in project management.

With over 17 years of experience in design, construction, cost analysis and overall project controls, Yekta has proven ability to successfully lead complex projects. As VCG's lead in Texas, she is responsible for managing renovation projects, leasing, communication with brokers, tenants and other stakeholders at various stages of the stabilization process. As a VP at JLL, in various roles with Turner Construction, and as an Architectural Designer at reputable architectural firms, she designed and built commercial, educational, residential, Healthcare and Hospitality projects and managed over $100MM in project volume; Yekta has an MA from Harvard University and an MBA from Queens University. She is a LEED AP.

Aldo Newberry

Leasing Manager

Aldo oversees all commercial leasing at Vail Commercial Group.

Aldo Newberry is the Leasing Manager at Vail Commercial Group. He has over four years of experience in the Financial Services industry including 2 years in Real Estate lending. He is responsible for the marketing efforts of the properties including field research, cold calling, email campaigns, tenant screening, lease negotiations, as well as digital campaigns such as Facebook Ads. He also supports onsite management, lease renewals, remodeling coordination, and other administrative tasks.

Matthew Donowho

Managing Partner

Matt is a founding member of Vail Commercial Group.

Matthew Donowho has over two decades of experience in various real estate ventures and private equity transactions, totaling over $500MM. Matthew has been involved in both residential and commercial real estate lending since 1997. Through founding several funds, he acquired over 1,400 homes in 12 states. To date, the fund’s initial equity investments have tripled, with assets reaching a value of over $110MM. Matthew is also a founding partner of Ancorian, a real estate development company based in Houston, Texas. Matthew’s responsibilities include overseeing investment strategy, securing debt and equity, and managing deal structures. Ancorian has completed or has under development projects valued at $275 MM. Matthew co-founded Vail Commercial Group, which focuses on deep value-add commercial investments.

Garry Whiteley

Chief Operating Officer

Garry maintains successful business practices and the day to day operations of VCG.

Garry Whiteley is the Chief Operating Officer of Vail Commercial Group. Garry strives to maintain successful management practices and the business development of VCG and its commercial properties. Garry’s responsibilities include employee management, development of company systems and policies, managing partnership relations, property due diligence and financial underwriting and ensuring that all in-house operations run efficiently. Garry facilitates weekly meetings to confirm that the entire Vail Commercial Group team is on track to achieve all quarterly and annual goals as well as to discuss the progress of individual projects.

Emmanuel Meneses

Construction Coordinator

Manny coordinates construction projects for Vail Commercial Group.

Manny has joined the Vail Commercial Team as an onsite manager and consultant for our commercial properties. In addition to his construction experience, Manny has been working throughout the restaurant industry and small business category as a business and restaurant owner himself over the past 15 years.

Jon Jamison

Partner

Jon is a founding member of VCG who specializes in asset management.

Prior to joining as a partner with Vail Commercial Group, Jon served as a Vice President at NewQuest Properties where he represented a range of groups from national credit tenants, to regional and national property owners. Jon has exclusively represented numerous chain restaurants, automotive groups, and general retail users over the past 12 years. Jon is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona where he earned a degree in Financial, Real Estate and Law, and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Kayla Vidaurri

Senior Property Manager

Kayla oversees the Vail Commercial Group portfolio.

Kayla Vidaurri is the Senior Project and Property Manager at Vail Commercial Group. She brings 18 years of property management experience to the company. Kayla oversees our portfolio including managing tenant relations, construction oversight, implementing marketing across various channels, leasing administration, tracking deadlines, and managing accounts. Kayla’s passion is people which, as well as her extensive experience in the industry, is what makes her a perfect fit for the team. She is committed to providing excellent service to our clients, investors, associates, and tenants. Kayla has an ARM, SCHM certification, as well as a CO real estate license.

Lenny Rodriguez

Marketing Coordinator

Lenny is the coordinator for Vail Commercial Group's leasing and marketing efforts.

Lenny Rodriguez is the marketing and leasing coordinator at Vail Commercial Group. He started his real estate journey as a residential agent guiding clients and customers through the process of purchasing, leasing, and selling their homes. He assists with marketing and leasing the team's properties by running social media and email marketing campaigns as well as direct marketing to local businesses by door knocking and cold calling. He also assists with showing spaces for lease, qualifying potential tenants, meeting contractors and vendors, as well as other administrative tasks.

Herb Heimerl

Real Estate Attorney

Herb has been practicing law in the areas of real estate development, general business and corporate law, dispute resolution and estate planning for 19 years, first as a partner in a prominent law firm in Buffalo, New York, and for the past eight years in Teton Valley, Idaho. Herb has extensive experience in all areas of real estate and corporate law, municipal law and dispute resolution. Herb has always volunteered in his community. While practicing law in Buffalo, Herb was a board member of several non-profit entities, including the nationally renowned Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership which is Buffalo’s think-tank for stimulating economic growth and business development in Western New York. Herb is on the Board of the Community Foundation of Teton Valley which hosts the annual Tin Cup Challenge. Herb studied at Syracuse University College of Law and St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY.
